What does a funeral celebrant do?
A funeral celebrant collaborates with you to create a personalised ceremony, honouring them through stories, memories, and conversations collected from those who knew them best. The ceremony will be authentic and celebrate the life your loved one lived. I can help you write the eulogy, coordinate readings or music, involving family and friends, and guide the ceremony from start to finish with respect and genuine care, ensuring a heartfelt celebration of life.
Do you work with religious content or spiritual elements?
I am happy to incorporate any spiritual, cultural, or symbolic elements that are meaningful to you or your loved one. Whether it’s a prayer, a ritual, or simply a moment of silence, we’ll shape it together. However, I am unable to deliver a religious ceremony as I am a civil celebrant.
What kinds of ceremonies do you offer?
I can assist with funerals, memorial services, celebrations of life, scattering of ashes, or private family gatherings. Some ceremonies take place at a funeral home or chapel, while others can occur in gardens, on beaches, or even at home. I am flexible and happy to accommodate the location and format that best suits you.
Can we include other speakers or music?
Absolutely. You are welcome to involve family and friends in any way you wish—through readings, speeches, music, or rituals. I’ll help coordinate the ceremony to ensure it flows smoothly, and I’ll be there to guide anyone who wants to speak, especially if they feel nervous.
How much do you charge?
My fees vary depending on the type and location of the ceremony. I am always happy to provide a precise quote with no surprises. Please get in touch to discuss your needs—I aim to make the process as stress-free and straightforward as possible.
What areas do you cover?
I am based on the Central Coast, but I can travel to Sydney, the Hunter Valley, and Newcastle. Outside of these areas, an additional travel fee may be applicable; let’s discuss. I am happy to go where you need me.
